September 16th - Healing Touch for Animals

What is Healing Touch for Animals?

HTA was established in Colorado in 1996 through development of Carol Komitor’s 13-year background in the veterinary field, private energy medicine practice and studies with Healing Touch, Reiki and other energy modalities.

Healing Touch for Animals is an energy-medicine modality combining philosophies, techniques and applications to promote energy balance and healing of our animals. This program introduces holistic concepts to assist with injuries, illness, surgeries, wound healing, behavioral problems and stress related issues.

Dynamic weekend workshops are open to veterinarians, animal healthcare practitioners, owners or trainers, and simply anyone with an affinity for animals. These holistic energy medicine techniques are for all animals, large or small -- horses, dogs, cats and other mammals, plus reptiles, birds and fish.

Anyone can learn to help animals heal from injuries, stress, training and behavior problems. At the forefront of energy medicine for animals, Healing Touch for Animals™ (HTA) and the Komitor Healing Method (KHM) offer a unique way to improve your animal’s health through complementary energy therapies. Taught throughout the United States and International, Carol Komitor’s energy medicine therapies bridge holistic animal healthcare with traditional veterinary medicine.

HTA/KHM uses bio-field therapies – recognized by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) – to integrate, balance and clear the energy body. It works by releasing endorphins to establish a deeper relaxation and state of being, allowing the body to function at a greater level. By allowing muscles to relax, circulation is increased, sending more oxygen, nutrients, and hormones into the body to support healing. HTA/KHM works on all levels of the body: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. These techniques allow the animals to come into a deeper instinctual presence and knowing of their body.

These techniques are largely based on Healing Touch for humans. The energy-based modality of Healing Touch has been recognized throughout the human medical community since 1989 and is used by more than 75,000 healthcare practitioners worldwide to help provide whole body wellness. These techniques are designed to enhance the healing process and do not replace traditional medical or veterinary healthcare, medical diagnosis, or medical treatment for illness. HTA practitioners do not provide medical diagnosis, prescribe medications or perform surgery. Refer to a licensed medical or veterinary practitioner for medical care.

Since its founding in 1996, Healing Touch for Animals/Komitor Healing Method (HTA/KHM) has been taught throughout the United States, Hawaii, Alaska, Canada and International

The techniques promote a beneficial way to blend holistic healthcare and traditional medicine.
